Medford purchases thousands of ‘know your rights’ cards for immigrants

The Medford City Democratic Committee believes it’s important for immigrants to know their constitutional rights if they’re approached by ICE agents in public or at their home.

MEDFORD, Mass. — The city of Medford has purchased thousands of “know your rights” cards to be distributed to immigrants across the community, in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, and Arabic.
4,000 of the cards have been printed and are ready to be handed out.
The Medford City Council has also approved the purchase of 4,000 more. { the 8,000 cards cost $826 in total. }
Each card is translated in English on one side.

The cards state the 5th amendment right to not speak, answer questions, or sign documents and the 4th amendment right to not allow agents into homes without a signed warrant.

The Supreme Court hasn't said that concerning illegal immigrants and deportation. They did require the government to return that one mistakenly deported but.he's out of our government's hands now.

It has already been admitted he was mistakenly.sent to El Salvador but he is now in the hands of a sovereign government and since he is one of their citizens they have the right to decide if he comes back or not. Is this so hard to understand that you have to make up stuff?

The reason they're insisting that each illegal immigrant gets due process is that it will tie up the courts forever allowing most let in recently to stay. They were brought in without due process so they can leave without it too. There's a legal process for entering the country and if they didn't follow.that then they can be removed.
