Glad you're mentioning how far left Europeans have been here in the Immigration thread. Sounds like they're realizing they've been hopelessly out of touch too.

How Europe Got Tough on Migration

The European Union has not gone as far as President Trump in cracking down on immigration, but its shift is already profound.

6/29/25

"When Nicola Procaccini was elected to the European Parliament six years ago, colleagues seemed to avoid stepping into elevators with him at the towering glass Parliament building in Brussels, he said. He belonged to a tiny, fringe party on the right of Italian politics whose hard-line stances on immigration were scorned.

“My hand would hang midair because they don’t shake hands with fascists,” Mr. Procaccini said in an interview, derisively characterizing how he thought his opponents saw him. Meanwhile, migrant rights activists were invited into the Parliament chamber and cheered.

Now those tables have turned, he said. “Those who told us our approach was racist, xenophobic, are slowly starting to say, ‘Well, maybe they’re a bit right,’” Mr. Procaccini said, noting that mainstream politicians are now embracing more of his party’s policies on migration."

--------------

"Across the political spectrum in Europe, leaders, right and left, are pushing a tougher line on undocumented migrants. The shift has not set off the same turmoil that President Trump’s immigration crackdown has stirred in the United States, but it is already being seen as entrenched and profound.

In nations across the European Union, centrists are joining staunch conservatives to roll back protections in an effort to make it easier to deport illegal migrants. Denmark’s “zero” refugee policy has become a model other leaders want to replicate. European Union officials are working on new rules that would help to send asylum seekers to third countries. The bloc struck a recent deal to deploy agents in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is not an E.U. member, to better police borders."

Yet when they print an article you agree with you think they're swell. You just attacked them for having the audacity to say out loud what is going on in Europe. In other words you only want things printed that you agree with. No free exchange of ideas, only your ideas. So who is really.the fascist here? Who is the authoritarian? Look in the mirror.

What was the mantra the far Left has been chanting for at least a decade or more? "Our diversity is our strength." Turns out not so much. All that has really changed is we've swapped hatred for minorities with hatred for the majority. With members of the majority promoting that hatred and division.

The further feminization of the left might have something to do with it. More of an increase in concern for feelings and emotions than in concern for physical/societal safety and self-preservation. Men saw that in leftist insanity and voted accordingly in the last election.

Does seem to be a large percentage of radical protesters are women.

Not that long ago, the survival of entire societies could be at stake if men didn't follow their instincts and utilize their greater size, strength, stamina, expendability, etc to repel invaders. And it's still in our biological programming to protect our societies. So we see something like out of control borders and do an "Oh hell no". That can be hard for women to understand that because we're of course not the same.

But there's plenty of liberal men out there too who act like they'd gnaw off their arm before ever admitting their open border policies caused harm. It's always the same old racism excuse they fall back on to defend what they've done. As much as I agree with you about the feminization of the Left it does seem that at the root of every wrong headed decision there's a white liberal male. There are definitely more white liberal women in the Senate than there are conservative women. And about half of female Republican senators are RINO's.

You know a liberal is in the Twilight Zone when they start accusing the NY Times of being conservative. That's as bad as accusing FOX News of being liberal. I stand by my post. When a liberal starts attacking the nation's leading liberal newspaper then he's at the point where he doesn't want to hear objective truth. The NY Times isn't trying to create a narrative in Europe about current sentiment towards immigrants. They are just reporting what they've been told and observed. If you insist they only.say things you want to hear then you have crossed the line into authoritarianism.
