I'm Broken
wow- thank you for the help everyone. i can't believe how many people are actually helping out on this post.
No mention yet of us lazy retirees.....hubby in his office at one end of the house and me at the desk off my kitchen at the opposite end and we e-mail each other...."lunch is ready" and "are you ready to go to the store?"
Hey, it beats yelling back & forth....no intercom here.![]()

That's funny, Moreluck. We have friends that each have there own computers in one of their spare rooms. Their chairs hit each other. Yet they e'mail each other constantly. It slays my husband. He thinks that is just crazy.
His "crazy time " will come. Leaving messages for each other or for yourself , wether via computer or sticky notes, is all a part of getting older. I used to laugh at my Dad and all his notes he left for himself but now guess whos constantly leaving notes for every little thing.I swear sometimes I should leave myself a note to remind myself to check my notes.

Be thankful that they can communicate even if it is over the internet. I know a few cases where the husband refuses to learn how to do even basic things on a computer so that leaves the wife doing her thing by herself. Not good.![]()
Actually that is the case here. He can't even turn on my computer. But it is not all bad. We get e'mails from friends and family and he will pull up a chair and sit next to me and read with me. I show him some of the stuff on BC, especially 'Good Quotes' and some of the other posts and pics. We enjoy the time together. To me, it makes more sense than having 2 comps. If he needs to order something or search for info on something we spend the time together doing it. And I would rather he didn't mess with my comp. He has little patience for technology and I could easily see my comp. going out the window. LOL
