And if you examine what you said you were saying the Arabs only were a small part of their genetic makeup. The article in Wikipedia indicates a much greater Arabic heritage. As do other websites if you Google it.
Think of it this way. In northern Italy the Italians are very much white European. In southern Italy, as well as in Greece, Spain, and Portugal, whites are darker complected. Why? Hundreds of years of Moorish domination.

I didn't, I said they're not predominantly Arabic, there was no large scale migration that came with the Arab conquests, people stayed mostly what they were (Canaanite etc) but converted to Islam

What do you think the Moors were doing for hundreds of years? Screwing the local women. Go to Brazil. Racially mixed are the single biggest demographic group in Brazil. Racially mixed are the 2nd largest group in South Africa. You can try as you might but you can't get around the mixing of Arab with the locals in Palestine. This happened everywhere there were large invasions. Ever look at many Russians and wonder about their eyes? Mongolians and other nomadic invaders from the east. And today's Mexicans? They didn't exist before the Spaniards arrived. Talking about the biggest demographic group in Mexico which is both European and Native American. You can have changes over time due to environment that do take a lot longer. But mixing of races produces immediate changes that last as long as the mixed keep reproducing with each other.
