Trump Says Iran Gave ‘Early Notice’ of Missile Attack, Seeking to De-Escalate Conflict​

"Iran fired a missile barrage against the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East after giving “early notice” of the attack, according to President Trump, who said Tehran’s careful response to Washington’s weekend attack on its nuclear facilities offered an opening to de-escalate the conflict.

All but one of 14 missiles launched toward Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were shot down by U.S. forces with help from Qatar and the remaining one flew off course, causing no casualties and little damage, Trump said.

By telegraphing the attack, Iran appeared to have responded to the U.S. strikes in a way that allowed it to avoid further retaliation from Washington. Trump over the weekend urged Tehran not to retaliate and to negotiate an end to the war, which Israel initiated 10 days ago.

“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region.”

Iran told Arab intermediaries its well-telegraphed response should be seen as an off-ramp and that it is ready to return to serious negotiations, Arab officials said. The U.S. has signaled through the same channels that so far it doesn’t want to retaliate, they added."

If there is a cease fire what can we live in fear about tomorrow? What will be the new outrage that Trump is going to get us into? Will we go back to the illegal immigrants riots or will there be something new on the desk of MSM for our Chicken Littles to gobble up? I miss the doom and gloom and the fear that @Next Day Err gave us but thankfully we do have a few to fill his place. I look forward to see what fills the void.

It's an even bigger W for Trump if this doesn't turn into a protracted conflict like so many have been screaming about. He ordered a single badass and highly necessary raid that went flawlessly and then we were out.

If Iran wants some more in the future their leadership can be handled like they were this time around. Hopefully that won't happen. I'd like to visit sometime.

He pretend bombed their nuclear facility that apparently didn’t have any nuclear material so the Israelis feel like they won

And then he let Iran retaliate against us. And they feel like they won.

He understands that part of the world and their need to feel like they got revenge now everybody feels like they won. And can go home and plot to murder each other again and another five to 10 years.

Everybody wins

It’s brilliant really the best you could hope for because eventually these people are going to get us all killed nothing we can do about it

And he did all that in very short order. Very limited loss of life.
