Nobody is suggesting that she wasn't told Trump assaulted his secret service detail. Her testimony does not support a claim that such an event ever actually happened.

No. She presented no evidence. Just a story she supposedly heard from someone who heard from the guy who was there.

The guy who was there said it's not true.

You don't need to refute that someone was told something happened that never happened. Congress is using gossip and rumors to inform legislation that will never be drafted. Very comforting.

Its the same as any other congressional hearing, anyone who thinks this has the same standards as a court of law should educate themselves as to how a congressional hearing is conducted

I didn’t say it should be, but you’re acting like a testimony is true based in hearsay. A testimony that already has other conflicting hearsay coming out against it.
It’s not worth forming any opinion over in my eyes. Far from damning evidence. They wouldn’t even allow hearsay in a ups termination as far as I’m aware.

It's my theory that the Bush-Cheney wing of the Republicans have never gotten over Trump taking control of the party away from them, as well as Trump thrashing Jeb Bush in the debates. This is payback. Liz was willing to do it because if she gets dumped by the party she's still rich. Her future is secure. Also Trump was pro military but not thrilled with the military/industrial complex. Dick Cheney WAS that complex.

He made Jeb look like the tool he is during the primaries. It really burnt some Bushes.

Sure, sure. That's why I said they are desperately trying to use the 14th amendment to keep him from running again, by getting him convicted of sedition. Too bad uncorroberated rumor, speculation, and gossip isn't enough to even bring charges. She would only be discredited if the person who was telling her the story said he never said that to her, not that the story she testified to didn't happen by someone there. He can clear this up easy by testifying...under oath.

Exactly what legislation are they trying to draft in these hearings?
As far as I'm aware these hearings are being held to shed light on the events that led up to what happened on January 6th by parties under oath.

No, lets not take the word of two veteran Secret Service agents over a 25 yr old who heard something said by someone else. How'd that Steele dossier work out for you?
