Neither should calling in sick. But of course it all depends on the individual. Some get away with several a month and some get a write up for once a year or less.

Usually if you take the day layoff you will just be coded no card. They don’t enter anything in the system. If it’s sick day no pay because you ran out of days it’s coded called out. Sick day with pay coded sick leave. Any package drivers who go to work with the expectation of not working and goping home should still punch in. I always punched in on days I took the over. I was always made to wait 5 or 10 minutes after the start time to make sure I was good for the day.

Be careful with that... there is a code for layoff. No card might get changed to NCNS if you piss of a supe.
