He probably got bent out of shape that there were another 20 stops that normally weren't on his route that normally isn't on his truck or some :censored2:. Obviously I just made that up. Just trying to understand his logic lol
There isn’t any logic and working off the clock it’s all illogical. Anyone that thinks that they’re going to work for free and the company is going to give them less work because they get it done is an idiot. I’ve got drivers that I’ve been doing this for 30 years and still haven’t figured this out. They complained to me and I tell them exactly what to do and they don’t do it not my problem.

Almost my whole center is made up of people who "massage" their trucks before start time. Lots of senior / bonus dudes and they got rid of the bonuses this year so they're all bent out of shape. It's because the company qualifies who they want. They have too much leeway to choose drivers.

We have one driver who played it perfect. Handed off late air to shuttles, dumped stuff at mailboxes, unsafe driving techniques...3 hrs of bonus every week.
We lose bonus and he's 2.5 over for the week, loves his job so much more. It's much more pleasant to interact with.

Late is always better than never. 3hrs of weekly bonus for that hell. 😳😳😳
A few years ago, we had drivers getting 2 1/2 to 3 hours of bonus every day paid at time and a half.

I kept telling those guys the rug was going to get pulled out from under them eventually..

Now most routes are lucky to get two hours a week.

Rug pulled!

Our bonus is paid at straight time, so there's really no incentive to do it anyway.
We had a couple guys that would be done in 6 1/2 or seven hours and still getting paid almost 3 hours later at time and a half. The amount of corners and safety they cut was insane. One of the guys used to leave the customer’s packages on unopened dock doors, and just leave😂

When bonus was pretty much eliminated, he lasted about six months before he quit I guess he couldn’t survive working six hours a day, because by that point he was ruined.

Yep, and now they’ve set their selves up for quite a problem when they were running 28 and 35 stops an hour if they slow down to 15 stops an hour, they’re gonna have some heat 😂 way to screw yourself.
There was a dude that would climb onto the extendos to break jams when we became automated; pure safety hazard. The second he stopped doing it the supervisor got annoyed that he had to do it himself and was like "well you always used to do it before"... Never set up a bad precedent for yourself.
