Maybe we should focus our attention to this, instead of each other?

they ran what for the last 8 years? the gooberment? dems or liberals were in charge, and the tough president did nothing but reach across the street to hold hands and make friends.

because he tried to reach to the "other side" to make nice and get along. instead they ruled and dominated his presidency.

and of course, over the last two years, the dems were in power, not the republicans. and that was due to the backlash over the broken conservative promises he made to the usa.

Dude, The way I see it and most of the dissatisfied public see's it, is the majority elected congress fell to it's knees and bowed down :bow:to the Bush Administration and the most fillbustering minority congress the US Congress has ever witnessed.

what we need is a president that will shrink gooberment, lower taxes, get the gooberment out of our business, bedroom, and life as much as possible.

and in the foreseeable future, i dont see one.
d

You didn't mention stop policing the world and keep religion out of politics and paying our debts without borrowing. We can come close to agreeing but I believe the "gooberment" should lay the foundation of providing us a level, fair, safe playing field to achieving these not so unattainable goals. But it takes a presidency like Bill Clintons to bring us to the position where we can begin to fine tune our Gov't size and financial taxation intake to satisfy both sides of the political spectrum. but if you keep supporting politicians who want war and corperate bailouts how can we even begin to talk about lowering taxes for the filthy rich.

Comon Diesel,

you're running stale. I've already called Bush and McCain socialist. I've already made that point that the two choices of Obama and McCain were both socialists and really inseperable.
With that in mind are you saying we should not have elected another socialist (Obama) as president?
I welcome your change in positions to a more conservative mindset.

I should also remind you that your democrats have run congress for the last two years and that this economy tanked while they had their hands on the wheel.

For some reason you want me to accept responsibility that you continue to moonwalk away from. :happy-very:

Generally a good idea to practice philosophies that one encourages others to adopt.:happy-very:
I'm not commenting anymore on your Democratic Congress fixation of being the "Mother of All Blame" of all our problems. Thats your hang up and hopefully someone can pescirbe some Rx to help you on that....lol
I am simply saying that your beloved Conservative mind set maybe old school and wishful thinking, but the truth of the matter is look around your party. They more resemble the old school democrats such as the Carter Adm in the big gov't sense than the true traditional conservative Republicans. Trying to pick your brain, I don't know why your not a Ron Paul fan by the way you moonwalk away from Bush and McCain. Is Ron Paul not agressive and religious enough for you?

Folks looks like Diesel is coming out of the liberal closet and joining us in resisting the socialist wave.

Lets welcome Diesel as he makes his transition to a more conservative mindset. :happy-very:

Welcome my brother :funny:

Not so fast Slick :sneaky2:......My only mind set consist of a mixed economy that welcomes lots of Capitalism sprinkled with neccessary safeguards of social regulations and programs that bene and guarantee a "fair and balanced" playing field to co-exist productively.

lol.....I can't say "fair and balanced" with chuckling to myself that Fox really believes they have a patent on that saying...

Notice the wording. Speaks as if he can do nothing until he assumes the reigns of power when he has been a member of congress and will be until he takes the presidency.
That's why we call this time of year......Lame Duck Presidency

In these economic times, I would respect a man who would say, "I don't care who you are, I am going to raise your taxes for a while till this mess is cleaned up".

Of course, an honest man like that would lose the election!

Obama flat out told the country, the world, and Joe the plumber, he's going to raise your taxes if you make over so much money.
"newsflash...He got elected. Why won't you respect him unless he breaks his promise.

I would respect a man that said look I understand government is and caused the problem so that is why my first order of business will be to remove governmental barriers to the markets. Of course that man would also lose the election.

I respect a man like Alan Greenspan who "manned up" and and confessed the problems of the free market and the Republicans loosening up regulations in place for our protection. He blamed it on GREED, he trusted the free market and it failed him.

Lets see you respond to me and then you quoatation marks around the mother of all blame expression alluding to my use of that expression. Now Diesel since I never used that expression it could be considered dishonest to attribute that quote to me.

Geez get too comfy in that closet. so why would you object to those candidates being socialist and then try to back away from that statement?

lol.....I can't say "fair and balanced" with chuckling to myself that Fox really believes they have a patent on that saying...

The difference is fox uses the expression and tries to live up to it where the other networks refuse to use it and are proud of their support of the liberal left.

No Dah. Meanwhile Obama resigns from the senate when he could have done something much sooner. Like maybe two years ago?

Obama flat out told the country, the world, and Joe the plumber, he's going to raise your taxes if you make over so much money.
"newsflash...He got elected. Why won't you respect him unless he breaks his promise.

Huh? The point is he will break his promise and we all knew he was lying to us.

keep religion out of politics

no religion is a religion.

congress and bush have been a huge disapointment to america. but had it not been for the stock market crash, i dont think obama would have won the election.

couple the frustration with the economy that was here already, then crash the stockmarket, obama dances to victory. backlash for the failure of bush to live up to what was promised. just like the take back of the house was backlash to failures to follow through on conservative financial issues by them.

so america got change.

funny, your love afair with clinton, and here it is, of 42 appointment made thus far, 31 are from the clinton admin. i dont see that as change, i see that as a return to yesteryear.

LMAO Greenspan did anything but man up. He blamed the current problem on everything but his policy of keeping interest rates at an artificial low. He also said: "We have to recognize that this is almost surely a once-in-a-century phenomenon." . I have never been a fan of Greenspan who endorsed many additional regulations. and he also said in the speech you refer to. "I took an oath of office when I became Federal Reserve chairman. ... I said that I am here to uphold the laws of the land passed by the Congress, not my own predilections. ... I think you will find that my history is that I voted for virtually every regulatory action that the Federal Reserve Board moved forward on." Nope he did anything but man up. Thanks for the chuckle though.

Slash and cut big gooberment before we end up under the rule of China; our major source of funding right now. Mark my words, it is going to come back and bite us more severely than people know. If China stops lending us money, we are SCREWED! The economy will collapse completely. Don't think they won't start making major demands of us in order to keep the blood flowing. Right now they hold all the cards and they know it.
