The oceans are a magnet for over-the-top narcissists.
Here's a similar story from 1968-69.

Don't worry @rickyb , there were two movies made about the mishap... So login to your mom's Netflix account, and have a look. Of course, neither movies were made by your boyfriend James Cameron.
i like titanic movie partly because superficially the ship looks nice, but when you get to what makes it work, you see poor working conditions down below

james even says this movie is partly about a civilization collapsing
Please provide that quote for me.
he mentions it in this article for starters:

You do know that the movie came out 20 years before Trump became President, right? So the movie couldn't have been about his Presidency, which Cameron is specifically talking about in that article. Also, he's talking about climate change with his metaphor. Not the collapse of civilization. Don't be so overly dramatic.

"Cameron, an environmental activist, said he is most concerned Trump will undo positive steps taken in recent years to fight climate change.

"Years ago, we sort of spotted the iceberg ahead of us and we called out the order to turn, and we’ve been slowly, slowly, slowly trying to turn this big-a** ship to not hit the iceberg, and then Trump grabbed the tiller and just plunged it right back at the center of the iceberg,' Cameron said."

I understand that the story of Titanic is a leftist religious metaphor for you. But Cameron isn't saying that the movie is about the collapse of civilization in that article.

it is not specifically about trump it is about a civilization headed towards global warming although it is repeatedly warned about it and then collapses
Have you figured out how to make the biggest polluters, China and India, go green? Have you figured out how places with large populations like the U.S. Northeast and Germany, where the sun doesn't shine much of the year and aren't windy, are supposed to exist on wind and solar power? Have you figured out how we run things on solar when it is dark half of the day and we don't have but a fraction of the battery storage needed to run things in the dark and there's not enough lithium in the world to power the U.S. let alone the rest of the planet? What exactly would you have us do, kill everyone down to a fraction of the population to "save" the world? The future for billions of people still includes fossil fuels. We can use green tech to generate power but it alone won't cut it. It will take some new tech discovery to get off fossil fuels but until then trying to completely force us off it will end in disaster.
