My boss... what a guy!

There seems to be a trend in guarding managers who are immoral/dishonest.
I know of a Feeder Division Manager that got caught juggling drivers hours to conceal some feeder drivers who had gone over 60.
It wouldn't have been so bad but he lied about it. They escorted him to the gate. Short time later he was working at a hub 3 hours away. Last I heard he was transfered to yet another hub.
If an hourly did the same thing they would be fired.
How does that work?

what you guys who complain of a double standard forget or don't know is that management also has a grievance process with an unbiased arbitrator at the end of it. So we can and do get walked out only to be reinstated through the grievance process.

Never knew this, even with a (now-former) UPS supervisor in my immediate family. Kudos to UPS for having--and keeping--such a system, even in today's environment! -Rocky

I wonder if your panel has an equal number of company reps and union reps making the decision like our panel system has?
.......or is the decision of the "unbiased arbitrator" based on whether they like the management person who has "strayed from the flock"?

My goodness, is this guy serious? Sexual harrasment from another man? Give me a break! Either man up and punch the homosexual or grow a thick skin. It would take one statement from me and the man would stop.

In my opinion this is a case of someone trying to file a suit for damages that never occured becuase UPS has deep pockets.

I know that I don't know the facts of the case, but c'mon? Sexual harrasment?

Ok you tickle my --- with a NDA tube (lol) and any man worker will grab it and hit you in the head with it. If that doesn't happen, a simple "Do that again and I'll report you". I can't imagine a scenario in which it happens more than once.

This guy is just looking for money, no?

Its my opinion that both employees should be fired and the so-called "victum" should recieve no money. Maybe we can get his job back.

Prefacing your post with this would have saved the trouble of reading the rest of it.

Did you read the article clown? That "homosexual" is the guy that runs most of the WORMA hub on the Twi-shift.

Yea, because their 75k a year isn't enough. Wrong. That was just a stupid thing to say.

Are you being serious?

On another note, curious why names can't be used when they appear in news articles that are linked in the thread?

He may run WORMA, but that does not give him any right to run his hand, or object, upon my (or anyone else) body.
I would have settled the matter right then and there.
No macho BS,
just a clear understanding.
I would willingly lose my job/career, if I was "man handled" in any way.

your equal number don't make the critical decisions. they decide on the cases that are lopsided to one side or the other.

The independent arbitrator would be deciding a case which in this case does not involve a stray but someone that was cut from the herd.

I've been involved in a witness capacity in this "process" it's a joke. The sup or manager in my case is guilty until proven innocent. and the company has zero hesitation on lying through their teeth to win.

Management at UPS work like the Catholic church. They just get reassigned.

We had a manager busted for having a sexual relationship with an employee who was married. All they did was transfer him.
