I just got my union id card and my name was spelled wrong on it.
What should i do?
Does it matter?
Change your name to match?
sounds like a plan
They will still take the dues out every week no matter how it's spelled.
Sounds like my old fake ID.
Stop paying dues and blame it on "Natils"
im guessing by the replies that it doesnt mean anything if my name is spelled wrong on this id card? whats the id card even good for
Nah it's good. They don't care as long as you're dues come.
Everything I got from my union has had my name misspelled for over 30 years.
Will call and let them know when I file my retirement papers.
Technically your not hired.
It really doesn't matter, as far as I know but if the Union felt that you should have it , then your name should be spelled correctly. I would call the office up and tell them and see if they want to send you a corrected one or not.
In this day and age I would suggest getting it corrected. Who's to say come retirement time some bean counter who gets a bonus for every dime he can save won't say "sorry - we have no one listed like that.
It looks like you are going to have to pay two initiation fees.
You'll miss out on the 5% discount at Golden Corral. Get it fixed, yesterday.

I wouldn't call my local union hall and find out....I would just ask people on the internet.
Someone told me that Golden Corral has all you can eat wings. If so are the like BBQ or buffalo or that breaded crap.
Yeah, good point Rod. To the original poster, find out why the misspelling took place. Did it just happen on the union card or is the misspelling to be found on other files(computer and paper) as well?
I have no Teamster card and no UPS card. Only 25 years in. Must be in the mail.

Probably that dumpster crap. I bet we both know a company that would handle an inspection in a similar fashion.

Separate names with a comma.
