Can anyone identify this tree? Seems to be the only one on my property that produces these berries.

If it were in So. Cal I'd think it was some kind of ficus tree looking at the leaves. The leaf margins are kind of ripply like a ficus benjamina. We had huge ficus nitida trees at our last house and they did get berries but they fell off and never turned red...

We have the same tree, on a heavily wooded lot, that I started to clear a little last year when we moved to the Midwest.

The plant is very durable, the deer dined a bit over the winter, and yet it came back this spring and summer without missing a beat. I wish I had more of these on my property, as they are disease resistant and healthy year round.

Wish I could tell you what it is, but I would like to have a few more around.

June Berry Tree, I dont know if it was the tree we had out at our church in California, but this tree was kind of like a cypress tree with hard and rough tiny balls. As kids we used to pick them off the trees and throw them at each other. It was alot of fun.
