You are 100% right on that one!Air conditioning is no longer a luxury option for vehicles, it's standard equipment.
UPS has been special ording vehicles specifically without A/C or removing their drive belts upon delivery in recent years.
This wasn't a big or unreasonable ask (for new vehicles going forward) and not a huge expense for UPS, but to retrofit the entire fleet would most certainly be.
Both sides are crunching all the numbers and are poised to tackle economics next, which in my opinion is where the rubber ultimately meets the road for this contract.
