Plan two might be layoffs. They will blame it on the low percentage taking them up on the buyout.
First problem.

There isn’t enough drivers to do the work We have currently, matter fact we roll packages frequently.. something we’ve never done as frequently in my whole career here it’s pathetic.

Second problem
How does laying off a driver accomplish anything? even if there’s not enough packages to deliver they’re still getting paid and they’re still getting there benefits paid because they’re gonna go work in the building.

Continually hearing about people worried about layoffs as if they’ve never happened to UPS as a newer driver 25 years ago I was laid off every my first four years for the first four or five months of the year.

Layoffs would be for inside workers.
