Sometimes it take two or three weeks for Direct Deposit to start. During this time you will receive a paper check. Once direct deposit starts you will receive pay advice unless you chose paperless advice. No matter what you do with paperless or not paperless, you will receive a check if Direct Deposit is not set up. Paperless only dictates if you will get a hard copy to look at if you are set up on Direct deposit. Hope this helps.
