You plan on making a career at UPS you better put some money in to the 401K plan.
The pension isn't enough for you to live on unless you want to wait until you collect social security to retire.
How much is enough to live on? I have 4 full-time years and the last piece of mail I got said my benefit is over $1000/month. I am putting money in the 401k anyway but if you extrapolate I'm gonna be making over $6k/year at 25 years.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

You can never have enough. Stuff goes up every year, you need at least 3 income streams, pension, SS if you wait, and investments.

How much is inflation going to be 25 years from now?

Haven't too much money is a good problem

No it should be the persons option on what they choose to do with their earned money. There is no legal way to force someone to use their money in the way someone tells them.
One of the many things new hires sign and don’t read here apparently, they signed the paper that agrees for the company to take a percentage of their pay and put it towards her 401(k) yearly. Once you have the 401(k) started your free to stop putting money in it.
