I'm aware of that. As it stands right now, I am nobody and have no power to affect/effect any change, so why should I concern myself with it now?

I didn't say you should. But just pointing out that a quality that good shop stewards should have. I believe most union campaigns are started by these type of people. The ones who fight for others when they themselves " have no power to affect/effect any change".
