I never said you should. Just realize not everyone is treated the same in regards to their performance.
If someone keeps their nose clean, clocks in on time, never calls in sick, never has an accident, never has a customer complaint, you can bet anything a manager will cut you slack over trivial matters. Most managers are too busy babysitting bad employees who might run good numbers but drive them crazy, to worry about an employee who keeps their nose clean.

I've seen too many mgrs look the other way while their courier buddies milked while coming down hard on everyone else over every trivial matter. And everyone knew it and it always came out on the SFA. But when we discussed the SFA everyone would keep silent because the mgr would challenge them with a tinge of anger in his voice. These days the mgrs are so focused on hitting their numbers to keep their jobs that they aren't as likely to surround themselves with suck ups. But as I've transferred more than most I've seen plenty of bad situations.

No, you're right, but I also know that some people just move slowly and flat out don't care. No work ethic.
I worked very hard over the years. And I watched topped out people have a life while all my hard work meant nothing. At this point I no longer resent those who do the bare minimum. More power to them.

Oh trust me, they still have their suck ups. It's just more on the DL and not as out in the open.
