Pension buyout

    So I am a former employee and I received a pension buyout offer last month I signed up for it I wanted to know when will payments be distributed into our personal checking accounts

    Probably useful to determine the net present value of what the monthly pension payment would be starting at age 65 given the average US inflation rate and go from there.

    "Dude, I'm going to rip through this money in no time flat. Most likely I will end up deep in debt to the IRS because I will blow it all before paying taxes".

    What were your options if you don’t mind me asking? If I quit today, the offer may not be much. Why not just roll it all over and let it sit. Are you getting pennies on the dollar in lump sum?

    They never gave a date. but they want us off the books this tax year so it will be before December 31
