In fact a couple of years ago I wanted him to make his first application for Social Security disability. If approved in 2 years he would have been on Medicare. He chose not to. I agree that a firearm is useless in defending from a cyber attack on our financial system.
In that event, I believe that people are going to panic. And there will be anarchy and chaos. And therein lies the problem.
An otherwise healthy person can survive a very long time without money. All that is needed is water, food, and shelter from bad weather. Even the dumbest among us will figure that out very quickly.
Everybody is very much going to want everybody else's food and water. There will be no such thing as 'enough'. Canned food will be gold. To anyone with a shred of sense and sanity, the presence of a firearm is an effective deterrent to find someone else to loot.
Think of how many people in your area who would have a difficult time feeding themselves and their family if EVERYTHING shut down for only two weeks.
And then think how long it would take to re-stock all the looted grocery stores. If they are ever re-stocked at all.

As it turns out the hospital financial department just told me due to my income and not living with my wife since mid 2020(so they aren't including her income), there's a good chance that the bill can be completely written off. And you should understand something. Due to so many now being diabetic and so many with heart disease it's very difficult to get disability for having either unless you're truly disabled. Seriously disabled. My neuropathy has progressed to the point I can't stand for hours or climb ladders, etc so might now get it but most likely would have to jump through hoops for a year or more to get disability. If I do at all. And $600,000? On what planet?
