I loved that guy. He was uglier than a mud fence but always had a smile on his face. I remember going to the drive in with my parents and seeing him in "The Posiedon Adventure" back in '73 or so. I also liked his "Cabbie" character in "Escape From New York."

He was like George Burns, you figured the guy was so old he would just never die.
