Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Nobody says UPS guys don't earn it. But at FedEx we also unloaded trucks, and most of the our routes had multiple UPS routes within them. Every day a fire drill. But in fairness every station had cake routes that senior couriers worked into and held on for dear life.
I don’t begrudge anyone a cake route. I had some before I was bumped. It is what it is.

Hope OP doesn't scalp me but most stations tend to put women on sorting documents while the guys, usually, unload containers. Many a time I was asked to take a heavy shipment off a female courier. Too many back injuries.
That is why women are paid less------------------oh wait-------no they aren't-----------------but should be in cases like that.

Believe me, when you see a mgr's buddy get a super easy route and he's milking the clock doing nothing you might begrudge it a bit. I've seen that a few times.
Hence the need for a union in this business. I envied the FedEx couriers for my first 5 years, after that, not so much. My job may have been difficult but I at least had a union backing me.

I wasn’t one of those women. I proved my worth to the guys. The only time I asked guys to take heavy boxes off me was when I was pregnant. Didn't care what anyone thought about it either. I unloaded cans and loaded them too. All the stations I worked in the doc sort was pretty much even with males and females. Truck pulls also. Of course, there were some women who played the female card, but fortunately there weren’t many.

Plenty of other UPS drivers making assumptions. Ask Brownflush.
I'm like UnionStrong. All I ever seen them deliver was letters and a few tubes.
In fact, I interviewed but didn't do it. I wanted the gravy instead of the money.
Our strike is what made FedGround. That's when I started seeing actual packages in express.

Yeah, I didn’t want to pursue it, but all I ever saw was tubes. Lol. Hey, in the end i chose wisely.

I once delivered 4 trampolines on my rural route, three 100 lb boxes each. And don’t let me tell you about the woman who used to buy oriental rugs overseas and send them to her house in rounded 100 lb+ boxes each.
Lunch over @230. Had an Econoline van.
5-8 stops left. No pick ups. 830-900 clock off. Had that route for almost 15 years.
