the smoking of the pot would be a sin since its destructive to the body.

the taking of edibles on the other hand....................
Well smoking anything is destructive for sure.

Personally, I don't even like vaping. Maybe I have sensitive lungs but vaping and smoking makes me basically have an asthma attack.

I am just repeating myself to you at this point.
You must be high.
If the wine wasn't fermented then why did that master of the feast call the guests "well drunk", and why did the phllistines call Jesus a drunkard?
What else did they "call" Jesus?
The text...
John did not come eating and drinking and they said he had a demon. Jesus came eating and drinking and they said he was a winebibber and a glutton ( 33-34). What did they want? Many of them rejected the testimony of John. So, when Jesus came he worked miracles. But, that wasn't good enough, they wanted more (Matt. 12:38). Jesus could heal the sick. But, for them, it was on the wrong day (John 5). Neither John or Jesus pleased the Jews no matter what they did. Your text for smoking weed doesn't hold water.
They said he was a glutton because he ate. Was he? What did he eat? Nothing that would cause him to be a glutton or even appear to be one. Why? He never sinned.
They said he was a drunkard because he drank. Was he? What did he drink? Nothing that would cause him to be drunk or even appear or cause him to be buzzed. Why? He never sinned.
I don't know where you are talking about the master of the house saying the guest were well drunk.. If they were drunk, they were drunk. What's your point and where is this?

I am moving on from this discussion.

The question is, did the wine have alcohol in it or not. You claim you don't know. If you don't know then leave me alone.
Leave me alone and let me smoke weed without any guilt! lol!
I claim that no one knows because it does not tell us.. The principles in scripture and what Jesus and the apostles taught concerning drunkenness would cause one to lean that it was not fermented.
But the principles of a pot smoker would lean toward all wine in first century Palestine was alcohol loaded so he could justify his behavior.

If you really want to see me clean then get down on your knees and pray for me.
So you admit you're not clean. Did you just admit smoking weed is unclean ?
Where is the condescending comment?
They are condescending because they are not what you want to hear. Scripture does that. He changes minds by what's written.
You can accept it or reject it.

Are you praying for God to lift me up yet or are you still busy tearing me down?

Misquoting the Bible doesn't earn you any points.

10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” John 2:10

So you shift to I'm tearing you down? Hit on me personally . I'm not praying for you? Making this thing personal? Why?
I've said nothing but what the Bible actually says. Is your mind changing about weed being just fine or are you thinking otherwise and it's bothering you?
After a little bible discussion, you were ready to bolt from the discussion.
This isn't about me or what I pray for you.
This is about you.

Of coarse.
Already have been.
Thanks buddy.

I prayed that the Lord deliver us from all of our addictions. Marijuana addictions, alcohol addictions, caffeine addictions, politics addictions, browncafe addictions, sugar addictions, YouTube addictions, video game addictions, pornography addictions... There's so many.
