Early Christianity was wide and deep...many factions and differing ideas about Jesus, about God, etc.

I’m not an expert (OMG and WKMAC are scholars).

The KJ version bums me out, it’s flowerly and political.

Same thing with Buddha, followers took his words and politicized them.

Both Jesus and Buddha had very simple messages, everything after is politics.
