That is exactly what he said and there is plenty of video proof of this. The man is UnAmerican so its not surprising that our UnAmerican President concedes that man is his mentor and nearly a member of his own family.

This is why you cant be taken seriously.

Rev wrights statements makes him AN AMERICAN. Whatever he said, right or wrong is protected free speech, you know what that is right? The crap you listen to everyday on foxed or right wing radiO.

What is unamerican is a person trying to take the rights of free speech away from another. You can disagree with Rev Wright, but you can silence him.

Peace[/QUOTE]

I never said that I wanted him silenced. He has every right to say what he wants. The rub comes in when he is the mentor of a man who represents all of us. It's ok for a private citizen to be unAmerican, and its even ok for a congressman or woman to be unAmerican because there are small pockets of moonbats in places like San Fransisco who for better or worse deserve representation. It's not ok for a president to be unAmerican because its the president who is supposed to be the representative of the American people as a whole.

The president, just like anyone else, can be whomever he chooses to be, whether you like it or not.

For a President to be unAmerican is to be derelict of his duties as President. Sure he can be whoever he wants, and the American people then have a responsibility to remove him from his position and put someone in there who does believe in American ideals.

You are forgetting that "AMerican ideals" can and will continue to shift over time. It is natural evolution. Your personal view of American ideals are accounted for but sooner than later, no longer the majority.

Some how saying that the Leader of the Free World is UN-American is weird.
Free world...heh. In the U.S. virtually nothing is free.

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

Since you have already called Obama an UN AMERICAN, would you like to explain to us where he has been "DERELICT" of his duties as president?

This ought to be good.

Peace.

Just because an ideal is changed doesn't mean its an ideal that works. Europe is an excellent example of this as over the course of the 20th century they moved to a more and more socialist continent and today they are paying dearly for those poor choices. The ideals that raise a nation to greatness do not change. It's the people of those nations that stray away from those ideals whose countries become footnotes in history. It's not that the U.S. is becoming less relevant as time progresses because that is the natural order of things. Its the path that we put ourselves on that is making us less and less relevant.

Now that your finished with this, could you give us a courtesy flush?

Peace.
