Not many people know that for a while he was a Christian Brothers monk in a monastery somewhere.

I hated him in Monster's Ball....that's what his acting was suppose to make us feel toward him in that movie.

Taxi Driver, Young Frankenstein among his other movies. But he turned down the role of Popeye Doyle in French Connection.

He led a very interesting life. I heard on the radio that John Lennon was one of his closest friends and was best man at his wedding.
