Seems like I should start looking for another job

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Actually at that point they were quite profitable, the downfall is when FedEx took over and destroyed them. I can't count how many drivers fired out of my old building for stealing were seen driving FedEx ground trucks within a month.
Lots of thieves in your area, eh?

They had a decent gross income but you have to subtract their expenses like insurance and vehicle maintenance from that. It ended up less than UPS drivers made for working even harder.

Our building was full of them. They'd get caught everytime...we had a great LP guy "Greg" may he RIP was as sneaky as a snake. Putting invisible dye on :censored2: to catch thieves. :censored2: would show up on their hands as he's at the guard shack with a scanner. Drivers he knew were stealing....follow them all day and catch them dumping :censored2:. Great guy, died a couple years after he retired.

I made as much as they did when I was a casual. Not to mention healthcare and pension contributions.

This guy did extremely well as he was in an industrial area so very tight and tons of packages.

The great Express-Ground merge is coming. Thr air work handled by ground drivers already in the area.
They closed the Express station in our area, moved into Ground building. Only kept a few Express drivers and get limited hours.

Here in northeast Ohio, was told by union rep. this morning that our center was closing. No time frame was set, but said that a 90 day written notice had to given. I've been hearing this periodically for 20yrs so I'll believe it when I see it but seems like this is the closest to be the real deal considering all else that's gone on.
