Are they really completely clueless? Fred's latest damage control letter blaming UPS for the bad FedEx Peak publicity had to be knowingly false, right? How could anyone that highly placed within the company not know what a cluster it truly was. Skillful PR, or utter incompetence and an unwillingness to face reality? I'm not sure which, but when lower-level management heads for the exits in the numbers we're seeing at Express, it's a real danger sign that the company is in serious trouble. IMO, they'll never be able to do enough damage control to get the "ship" on-course.
