In case you haven't noticed the Confederacy was brought back into the Union. There is no Confederacy today. And your Democrat Party needs to change it's name. Your party was the party of slavery, Jim Crow, and segregation. Bring that statue down you bloody racists!
Get your facts straight. The Republicans got the Civil Rights legislation passed. And they marched with the Civil Rights advocates like MLK. The Democrats were the oppressors. Can you say Bull Connor?

Do you know how many national politicians switched parties? One senator, one Congressman. The Senate majority leader was Democrat Robert Byrd of West Virginia, a former KKK leader. Bill and Hillary both called him a mentor. If a Republican called a former Klansman a mentor there'd be hell to pay. Let's face it, you Dems have racist skeletons in the closet and it's time for you to own up to that and disband the Democrat Party for all of your racist misdeeds.

Except the middle class has been so hammered that the Dems have been convincing college kids that socialism will give them a better life. So the country will probably have to go through a lot of pain because they refuse to look at the former Soviet Union and what those people suffered. Or Venezuela, Eastern Europe, Argentina, or much of Asia.
