I dont' work for ups, i'm actualy thinking about trying to get a preloader job, but i always see the term air used to describe packages, what is meant by this term?
It's the term used to describe that which occupies the space between your ears, especially on our preload!
Ahem...with a few exceptions of course right?
an air pakg .. is either a next day air, 2nd day early a.m or a 2nd day air
No, its just a really light pkg!!!!

But of course, bella! Some of ours have blunt smoke between their ears, although that is still air!
Your right, my bad, carry on with the lesson!![]()
thank you... its pretty self explainatory though....
The term "air" can also be used by the younger UPSers to refer to the heighth a pkg attains while being thrown about on the preload. Ex- "that pkg caught real air, dude"
its a light package
