Every day now if our managers don't say anything, we ask, Do we have any extra time? Lot of times they give us adjusted time, sometimes no. They won't put it in writing or print anywhere though, ever.

Technically extra time is just a way to make it not look late in the companies numbers, the customer still gets that money back or so I've heard.

Left the building at 9:30 today..arrived on route at 10:30 thanks fedex

How can they change the commit time on a daily basis?

The actual commit time doesn't change, anything delivered after the commit time but before extra time is given (this is based on when the sort is schedule to go down and when it actually does), the station doesn't get hit with the lates during this time. Anything after that time, the station takes the hit for the late. So if the sort is scheduled to go down at 0830, and it doesn't end till 0900, the courier gets an extra 30 minutes, even though the money back guarantee (another thread completely) is still supposedly still in effect.
