your attack on his preferences has nothing to do with that issue.

I’ve generally listened and give him more credibility to people Who’ve had issues with a vice than those who have not, they seem to know when something is bad for you, even if they can’t help their self out of the mess.

"Why won't anyone think of the children?" will always be the standard refrain for restricting "X" if it looks like no other excuse for doing so will work.
