We don't live in The Villages. It starts about 2 miles from home. My dad owns his home. About 2500 sq ft on an acre. Grew up here. Came here to help out in 2021 when he had knee surgery and stayed on with both his heart problems and my own heart attack. I about double my income next year with SS. Hope Biden doesn't kill it!

By the way The Villages is anything but rent controlled or subsidized. Very expensive to buy a home there and it's Disneyland for retirees, especially if you play golf.

I don't live there but I do get to take advantage of all the shopping and restaurants. When I moved from here in 2000 The Villages had about 20,000 residents. It's up to 140k and still growing. They have, I've heard, 32 golf courses. They've had the LPGA championship here a number of times as well as the Pro Bowlers championship. Don't worry about Biden. You're own Senator Rick Scott's plan calls for the elimination of ALL federal programs and only bring back those he thinks are worthwhile. And that's no lie. But fortunately for you Scott finally realizing the number of Florida residents living on the stuff is why you he don't hear much out of Rick Scott these days.
Scott tried the same old thing as Bush and Ryan. Offered plans to save SS and Medicare but both were full of glaring deficiencies that some smart people caught onto right out of the gate.
If you can provide adequate care for your father and can prove that he's not being neglected or abused and keep him out of a nursing home and off Medicaid that's a real savings of tax dollars.
I spent 44 years in the American workforce. All of it in the private economic sector. Now if you have all day to go chasing after conspiracy theories then chances are you're out of the workforce as well.
