THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

It was good to see DNC co-chair David Hogg push back against leftist insanity to some degree on Bill Maher's show last night. The party has a long road back because leftist insanity is now a religion for many. It fills a hole for them. But at least we've got an indication that leadership knows what the actual problem is.
He's been so strident in his views that I'd be concerned, if I were a moderate Democrat, about trusting him.

Oh well.

Might be a tall order if he's now in ideological compliance with the leftists. They'd rather lose 1,000 elections and whine about it every time while ceding power to the Republicans than give up their religion.
Both sides are in a race to see who can throw away the biggest opportunities.

I’m not sure who will “win”. 🤦‍♂️

my money is on the repubs to squander
The money bit is a hard pill for me to swallow.

I don’t care what stupid stuff President Trump tweets. I don’t care who leaked what messages accidentally.

But if the deficit keeps getting worse and this gamble doesn’t pay off, it’s gonna be hard to get enthusiastic about voting for more of this.

I’m pessimistic, but the dude needs to be allowed to sail the boat for a bit here. Hopefully he knows what he’s doing.

I’m sure it’s all part of the game. But this bill is full of spending that is concerning.
ok as i understand the process
the house passes their version, - done
the senate passes their version - now whats taking place

then if they're different then they have a conference committee meet to combine the two
then both sides vote on the final version.

so i think we are at the senate passing their version stage which means these articles about the senate voting against the house version is just some made up drama by the press.
