THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

You're saying that Trump is getting us into a war. That his "act of war" isn't a one off action, so therefore he lied about no new wars. Nothing yet indicates we'll end up in a full blown war.
If Fordo is struck we had better prepare ourselves for more to come from that can of worms. It's an act of war to strike Iran within their soverign borders. That's all I'm claiming. Just like it would be an act of war for them to do that to our soverign territory.

Trump is giving this decision two weeks. Just like he did with healthcare, etc. So that tells me we won't strike. Who knows though.

Can Iran project power? They essentially have no air force or navy. Are they going to march on Israel? They'd be sitting ducks. And Iran has had this coming for a long time. Decades of sponsored terrorist attacks. Proxy wars. And now too close to having a nuke. Their sovereignty doesn't mean they get to act with impunity forever.

Retired 2020. Not my Problem Anymore!
I’m doing my morning check in to see what the “outrage of the day” is about Trump. Looks like the “WW3” that he is going to get us into and kill us all is still alive and well, but I have to say I am happy to see a new “outrage.” Looks like Juneteenth has got a place today. But that all sounds a bit boring to me so hopefully tomorrow’s outrage will be more of my liking.

I'm not saying we shouldn't strike. I'm saying the current White House occupant told you what you wanted to hear about no Mideast conflict and now is thinking about breaking that promise.

Love how Trump is whining about Juneteenth as a holiday when he once floated the idea in 2020 to make the day a federal holiday. It's always a rug pull with this guy lol!
I could’ve used the day off yesterday. And apparently with the phone calls asking me if we got paid for Juneteenth so could a lot of other people lol. Oh well, maybe next contract.

So you're saying that no matter what info a president gets he must stick to his campaign promises at all costs?

A lot this is why I don’t think Trump is going to do anything. I don’t really think he needs to. Actively helping might speed up the process but I really don’t think ultimately Israel needs the help.

Israel needs our bunker busters. Whether we drop them or Israel rigs up some jets to handle them remains to be seen.

Yes, that is true, but that is not the only way. Regime change and capitulation can happen pretty quickly under the right circumstances. And the new regime could comply with shutting these down and allowing the international inspectors to do their job. We’re away off from that. I’m just saying, I believe Israel will ultimately be victorious. I do not believe the Iranian government came withstand a prolonged onslaught from them.

We shall see

The daisy cutters used in Vietnam were dropped by C-130's but those only weighed 15,000 pounds. The GBU-57 dropped by a B-2 weighs twice as much. 10 times as much as the older BLU-109 bunker buster.

Iran has a million man army. Israel isn't going to put boots on the ground. If there's a big enough revolt among the people then the army may turn on the mullahs. People say Iranians aren't happy with the mullahs and the theocracy. Some aren't. A very large percentage support the theocracy and they control the army. Kind of hard to have a sustained uprising when one side has all the guns which is why mass protests have been quickly quelled and people.disappear.
