THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

El Correcto

Drop the charges. He just wanted the personal papers he mixed with top secret documents back. Perfectly reasonable explanation.

He also admits they asked for the documents top secret documents back but they didn’t beg, plead and grovel deeply enough.
I don’t think you understand he had boxes of very classified material and he was too busy to give them back. The country is just gonna have to wait until Donald finds time.

The FBI had access to them.
They came to Mara Lago, looked at them, took some, and made security improvement recommendations for the rest.

Facts matter.

False premise. The country is not 'in shambles'.

What country are you in?
If you look at our education stats, crime stats, high cost of living without a solid manufacturing base then yes, we are a shell of our former self. Instead of shoring everything up we're engaging in social engineering. Groups attacking traditional values while trying to install their own vision of the world. A government that's wielding its power against average citizens who speak out. Against political foes. With ever spiraling debt that affects all of us. Shambles.

None of that is true. I don’t know what country you were in, but it’s not the United States of America.

That's why we need a Christian theocracy where kids eschew regular education for Biblical scholarship. The GOP is already trying to "social engineer" their way of life and "values" upon all of us, whether we like it or not. Education? Republicans have been pushing "the trades" and saying we place too much value on education. That way they get a pliable and dumb population that will just take orders and pray. Everything you've just claimed is false. Our manufacturing base was off-shored and outsourced by Big Business, the province of the GOP, whose member run most corporations.
You are just too funny sometimes.

It's rules for radicals.
They want to destroy the country.
And they are liars, so they lie about it.
But not only that, they will accuse you of doing what they're doing.

In the 247 years of our country have we ever had a Christian theocracy? When Roe v Wade allowed the mass killing of babies in 1973 did the Christian armies arise to overthrow the government?

Republicans are pushing trade jobs because they pay well and are available. Compare that with how many are coming out of universities with a lot of debt and having to settle for whatever they can find that doesn't pay well. I'm all for a university education but geez be smart about it. By the way those universities are by and large run by Democrats who have been raising costs at a much higher rate than inflation for decades. Apparently they're capitalists when it comes to the good life for themselves.

I'll agree that Big Business offshored our manufacturing. Big Labor had a hand in that too. A lot of greed from all sides and look what it has gotten us. Where possible businesses have brought some manufacturing onshore. Big Labor complains that those jobs don't pay enough but funny thing how in those poor areas of Southern states where these factories have located they're thrilled to have the jobs. Life is about compromises you can live with. A union boss in Michigan wailing about right to work states in the South doesn't put beans on the plates of those workers. They aren't just competing with union labor but with people overseas who'll work for a lot less. So if a company adds up the costs of a factory in Alabama vs one in Vietnam and decides with greatly reduced transport costs plus lower labor costs in Alabama than Michigan it's worth their while to be in Alabama then those workers in Alabama have to decide do they risk losing their jobs to the Vietnamese or Hondurans and go back to even less at fast food jobs by bringing in a union to get Michigan wages and likely lose their factory? There's more to it than just demand and get paid. It's the reality of today's global system. Which by the way the Dems have very much have become the party of Wall Street and are pushing us into regional conflicts because without that manufacturing/big union base the defense contractors as well as the high tech firms are where the money is at. So expect us to keep funding proxy wars and sending our troops into battle because defense contractors need to make more weapons to make more profits. You keep telling us how dumb we are while this is happening right under your nose and you're either being disingenuous about it or aren't so bright yourself.

Why do you think Trump was attacked from all sides including Republicans? He's a populist. Trying to better the lives of average people instead of lining the pockets of the elites with the status quo. Don't believe that? How long were we in Afghanistan? 20 years. Billions spent monthly for 20 years. We had them beat three years in. Let them regroup in Pakistan and come back in. Who was benefiting from that? Wasn't the troops. Wasn't the American people. The defense contractors were making bank and contributing to campaign coffers to keep it going. That's the status quo and Trump was upsetting that. Lenin talked about useful idiots. When the press and the bureaucrats and Congressmen all worked in concert to attack Trump and get you to hate him and vote against him who do you think were the useful idiots in that scenario? And Trump certainly makes it easy to hate him so wasn't much of a stretch.

Now I'll hear how nothing I said is true, Democrats are the morally upstanding citizens who care, blah blah. You don't get manipulated, you're the smart ones lol. I saw a video a couple of days ago where a liberal blogger realized he had been played by the press saying Trump made fun of a handicapped person acting like a badly disabled guy. Turns out Trump makes those faces and hand movements to show how hysterical people get over nothing. He showed Trump doing just that with 4 or 5 different people. But one of them was a handicapped journalist that the press ran away with the idea that Trump was a cretin who made fun of the handicapped. Remember when that made the rounds? You get played, get manipulated, think you're so superior believing what they'd have you believe, and don't even realize it. And rather gnaw off your arm than admit you were played. Especially to a dimwitted Republican like me. Such is life.
