The politicians in the Rep party espouse these values not because they claim to rigidly adhere to them but because they want the votes of the interest groups who espouse the values you mentioned.

Let’s be real, those in these interest groups talk a good game but probably fall short of rigidly adhering to the very values their groups touts.

I know I fall short of perfection as I walk this planet.

The key to understanding what you are saying is .. "HOW" does God appoint our leaders.
He does it "through" civil governments and monarchies.
There is zero "direct" intervention. The same way he speaks to all men. He "speaks" to us "through" His Word unless you're @Integrity.

FYI

I know of many other than myself who don’t limit God’s continued interactions with mankind to sacred religious texts.

However useful the Bible is and I personally do find be it to be extremely profitable in my relationship with God, I cannot place limits on infinite God.

You can't place limits on God. That's true. He limited Himself.

the argument from them is that since dems admit they are immoral and rife with a multitude of perversions they are therefore being true to their nature and without sin. I know its screwy but in their eyes trying to live a moral life and failing is worse than adopting immorality as a lifestyle.

What is wrong with a leader that espouses to be a devout Catholic who supports abortion ( you know the murder of innocents ) under the guise of women's health care. The only 2 other countries in the world that allow abortion up to 9 months (infanticide) are North Korea and China. Additionally I find the churches silence especially the American Bishops reprehensible.
Certainly God didn't anoint Biden our leader as he didn't choose Hitler or Stalin. I always gave credence to the saying "God works in mysterious ways" Well Donald Trump may not have lived a saintly life but he is no murderer of the innocent unborn. That in itself puts him head and shoulders above the current occupant of the White House. When the final judgement comes what will Joe say in his defense " I didn't use the forceps or the suction myself."
