Democracy is not what the founding fathers were chasing, they were chasing liberty. Very difficult for everyone to have liberty in a pure democracy because the mob will not allow you to be free.

Well, that’s unfortunate you don’t like them because for their time they were very astute and well ahead of the game. They understood human nature, and they knew what, giving too much power to one group would eventually do.

Yea i think some of it was quite progressive for its day but on the other hand there was alot of bad things about them
