Trump a pretty good negotiator, but he’s not gonna negotiate Russia giving back land. It’s not gonna happen and he knows it.
When was Putin squawking that he wanted a deal that would have the Russians leaving Ukraine? Ukraine didn't want to cede territory. I get that the West wanted to degrade Russia's military but at the time you all were saying Ukraine should just give up because not only would they not win but Russia was about to roll over them. You do this all the time, alter your stance to avoid looking wrong.

Well, I never said Russia would roll over them. Ukraine was receiving billions and billions of dollars and weapons from us. I never once believe Russia wanted to take all of Ukraine I believe they got exactly what they wanted, possibly with a more extended war than they anticipated.

My only complaint ever was that there was a lot of senseless death, for an outcome that was known quite a long time ago. Ukraine was not going to be able to get back those territories. They’re tough and they have fought hard but Russia is just too strong and the only way Ukraine would’ve got land back is if other countries got involved with their own troops creating a possible world war. Ukraine is not worth a worldwide war.
