I believe the USPS partnership is over.
Reclassification coming with an increase in price. And they are giving it a new name.

The only primary I've ever voted in was to vote for him.

It's way too late to say Ukraine is none of our business...we've been meddling in their business for years.
We made it our business when we promised them that things would be ok if they gave up their nuclear weapons. We gave them assurances about territorial integrity. Pretty sad situation all around.

If you read that agreement, it’s really not all that much of an assurance. And we’ve done plenty this time. Obama didn’t do a single thing in crimea.

Nice. I still listen to his liberty report from time to time. I believe he still a good man.

And all throughout history there are many times when we pull out of areas where we realize it is no longer strategically Or realistic, to continue on.

I agree with you there’s no shortage of times we stuck our nose in places that did not belong.

Even if Ukraine doesn’t matter in the least I think we should be honest that it does matter to take advantage of a way to weaken the Russians. This was a goldmine of an opportunity and it’s worked so far. They’ve cornered themselves and it would take generations to even get close to normalizing relationships with the world… as it stood. Things are different now, though. I fear we are going to actually help them and not just by digging them out of a hole.

Retired 2020. Not my Problem Anymore!
Good morning and what a great day we have ahead of us! I see some spent yesterday, last night and got up this morning thinking about our great president. Never fear everything is going to be alright because 👇🏼

Before this becomes an issue:

Who here believes Social Security should be left 'untouched' as our president has claimed?

Who here believes Social Security's administration should be privatized?

Who here believes Social Security should be thrown out completely?

Which one does Reddit think Trump will be doing?

I don’t think it’s going anywhere.

There’s definitely room for improvement with the way its ran.

And as we’ve seen even with our pensions, any entitlement that’s run by someone other than yourself is a risky business. It is what it is. The only guarantee in life is that there’s no guarantee.

Our president sees dead people again. He's claiming that "millions" of dead people are receiving and cashing social security checks. He said the same thing ad nauseum about our elections in the swing states that he lost in 2020. It's pretty clear to me that he's trying to soften up the public to the idea that government can't run Social Security and it should be abolished or privatized in some way.

In 85 years Social Security has never failed to make good on its word by being late with sending the checks to the people that have paid into the system. It's ran pretty damn well. When there's overpayment it is corrected. There's been oversight and data on this going back years.

I'm still waiting for the first person over 130 years of age to be arrested and charged with collecting a SS check.

It's all over the map.

Want to answer my question? It's pretty simple.

It’s understandable that this is a popular topic on Reddit. But why speculate/hyperventilate over it here when cutting, privatizing or eliminating Social Security would be political suicide?

Many presidents have talked about changing it and making it better and very little has happened. Many years ago, George W Bush talked about opening accounts for each person so they can keep their own money in a personal account. I liked the idea. But it never happened, of course.
I have absolutely no problem with President Trump trying to modernize and limit the waste fraud and abuse in Social Security.

They catch people quite often. Just makes you wonder how many they don’t catch. I’m sure there are many.
