Yes, our national security is at risk because Hollywood is dying. Time to do some more tariffs without Congress.
one thing about Trump he pushes our economic results from all angles. a movie production team can generate significant revenue for any local economy.I'm not sure why you wouldnt want him to push issues that helps this country?

Yes, our national security is at risk because Hollywood is dying. Time to do some more tariffs without Congress.
  • Delegation to the President:
Since the 1930s, Congress has passed laws delegating specific tariff powers to the President, particularly in areas related to foreign policy and trade negotiations. This delegation allows the President to act more quickly and flexibly in response to changing trade conditions or national security concerns.

  • Examples of Delegated Authority:
Examples of statutes that delegate tariff authority to the President include Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (related to national security) and Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 (related to unfair trade practices).

some ways a film helps a local economy per grok

Filming a film impacts a local economy in several ways:

  1. Job Creation: Temporary jobs for locals (e.g., crew, extras). A mid-budget film ($20M-$50M) can employ 100-500 locals, with wages totaling $1M-$5M.
  2. Local Spending: Production spends on accommodations, catering, and services. A typical film spends $50K-$200K per day locally, with $10M-$50M total for 2-3 months.
  3. Tourism Boost: Film locations attract visitors. Iconic films can increase tourism by 10-50%, adding $1M-$10M annually to local revenue.
  4. Infrastructure Investment: Studios may fund local facilities (e.g., soundstages), costing $5M-$20M, creating long-term economic benefits.
  5. Tax Revenue: Film incentives generate local taxes. A $30M film with 30% tax credit can yield $1M-$3M in local tax revenue.

when they filmed the wire in baltimore they used retired teamster labor to help the driving and transporting. I knew a lot of guys that were able to supplement their retirement being drivers for those film crews.

Well well well. She talked good until…… rather fuss about AOC. Hurts saying that.
this is a cancer with all of congress . greene is not the worst one and the rot persists on both sides of the aisle.
this is insider trading in its purest form. You work on legislation that you know will affect an industry and you then pick some winners in that industry that will benefit. No one should ever be prosecuted for insider trading again until they put the block on congress investing.

Would members of Congress still be able to create their own meme coins?

"Some Senate Republicans are raising concerns about an exclusive dinner and White House tour President Donald Trump is offering top investors in his $TRUMP meme token."
