THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

And how does he propose he accomplish this savings with such a slim republican margin?
Trump needs to get on his bully pulpit and educate the people about what we're up against fiscally. If the emphasis doesn't remain on preventing the country from crashing we're toast. The only way to motivate Congressmen to do the right thing is to make them fear losing their job if they don't. But getting enough voters riled up in liberal districts seems unlikely. Combine that with Republicans who put self interest first voting for pork and it seems we'll never get the reform needed. And liberal judges will throw up roadblocks every step of the way. We can't even get consensus on removing criminal aliens. Too many people with power in this country are too :censored2:ed in the head to do the right thing.

i think the bully pulpit started the war yesterday during his meeting with the German chancellor and following presser. when asked about Musk's criticism of the BBB trump speculated that musk was upset about the elimination of EV credits. When Trump is questioned about criticism he recieves he constantly speaks to suspected motives. sometimes thats appropriate but not every time.

he could have used the opportunity to speak to how Musk is passionate about cutting government waste , stated that he welcomes the passion and then moved onto the next question.

Trump is a terrific leader stronger than anyone I've ever seen in modern times but the narcissism and thin skin coupled with an unfiltered mouth is a liability at times.

All that is true. But I wonder if there's more to this. Musk took a huge hit participating in DOGE. Really affected his business. Might be distancing himself from Trump(maybe even with Trump's blessing). Maybe not but the public is so manipulated by both sides that it's hard to tell what's true and what's smoke and mirrors.

good question that i may not be qualified to answer. I could speculate that the US bonds are still a strong stable investment opportunity but i really don't know the answer.
When interest rates were really low there was a lot of grumbling by major bond holders that they were losing money buying long term bonds. A major factor in the formation of the BRICS alliance.
