Victoria Day. It's a celebration of Queen Victoria's birthday which was May 24. We call it May 2-4 weekend and celebrate with a 2-4 of beer.

All I know about Canadian holidays pre-pandemic is that I would avoid going anywhere near the local mall whenever you guys were on holiday.

Some have been out since the lockdown in my province started. Others have been taking leave in the following weeks. Had two more leave this past week and a couple other co workers on the fence on whether they're going to stay.

No idea, I haven't talked to any of them. I'm guessing so long as CERB is being offered, people will stay out. Latest news is the government is going to extend it past June, so...

June 1 is a bit ambitious, especially here in the Northeast. IMO the economy will not be fully reopened for at least 6-12 months.

Nobody wants to be blamed for a spike in cases/deaths, especially not donald. That's why he's been leaving it up to the states.

That would really depend where you are, and also depend on what you mean by “open”.

It could honestly be 6 months or longer before people stop hiding in their houses and stop buying all their stuff off the internet
