Earnings call was only 2 cents less per share than expected and the stock still tanked.
That dividend has to get slashed.

The 50% increase in 2022 was nothing short of irresponsible.
And now nobody wants to give the bad news to the shareholders about it being unsustainable.

The stock price was over $200 at that time.

Carol Tomé:

“The UPS dividend is backed by solid free cash flow and a strong investment grade balance sheet. We know how important the dividend is to our investors and you have our commitment to a stable and growing dividend.”

Forgot about that “Macro” thing of a jig…I’m guessing…

She keeps telling the investors that bigger is not better, who will invest in that concept? lower volume at a better OR still is at less gross revenue.
She is right—-bigger is NOT always better. A streamlined operation running at peak efficiency is much more desirable than a bloated bureaucracy.

Less gross revenue minus less operating expenses equals similar profit.

Which will never happen with people making less money, constant turnover and having no reward(pension)at the end. Are you really that naive?

Is Amazon's small package delivery system profitable?

And that's pretty hard to answer, consider it isn't reported as a standalone segment of their business.

AWS was, is, and will be their major profit earner allowing them to earn much less, or lose money on their other ventures.
AWS is their cash cow.

Amazon Small Package has clearly shown that you don’t need to pay drivers $50/hr with industry leading benefits to get your packages delivered. Of course, as am I typing this , the Amazon driver is parked on the wrong side of the road making a delivery to my neighbor.

You have inside info on Amazon's delivery service? How do you know all their stuff is getting delivered everyday? I know there are times my stuff doesn't show up when it's supposed to.

Management never should have settled the last contract. It would’ve been so much better to dump the union at that time.

UPS should have let the union strike, and rid themselves of them for good. Just look at the majority of the union people here. Not exactly the employees you would want.

The moderator here is posting while he should be working. That’s called theft, or at least it used to be.
