Could someone be proven guilty of a crime if the misdemeanors they’d be charged with are outside of the statute of limitations and there’s no charging them with anything unless sufficient evidence can be provided to elevate those misdemeanor charges to felony charges?
Probably not. Legal precedent says they have to link the state charges to a federal one and Bragg refused to even say what federal crime was committed. Case should be thrown out by the first unbiased judge it sees.

Alan Dershowitz made the interesting point on Megyn Kelly’s show yesterday that Manhattan isn’t where you want to be living, working and socializing if you’re a juror or judge who decides something in Trump’s favor even if the evidence isn’t there for a conviction. The trial needs to be moved to Long Island.
