1965 the Democratic Party controlled Congress and the presidency. Had a two thirds majority in the Senate which made them filibuster proof. Nixon, Reagan, Bush 2 and Trump not responsible for today's inflation. Carter was responsible for the last round. Thought you followed politics. Typical Democrat blaming everyone else for their mistakes. Biden took a controlled border and made it wide open. Injected $2 trillion in stimulus when he was warned not to by economists.

Better get your shovel. The latest round of inflation was caused by 1) Biden reversing Trump policies on oil drilling on Federal land, and 2) Biden injecting $2 trillion in new stimulus directly into the economy when he was warned that the economy was stimulated enough and putting that much more into the money supply would cause inflation. The very definition of inflation is having too much money supply. Higher prices is the symptom, not the cause.

Senate:
Democrats: 52 voted yes, 14 no, 1 abstained.
Republicans: 24 voted yes, 3 no, 1 abstained.

House:
Democrats: 202 voted yes, 60 no, 12 abstained.
Republicans: 118 voted yes, 10 no, 11 abstained.

Funny how all the numbers and information is always fake or cooked when it proves someone wrong. This graph didn’t favor Dems or Republicans. It showed good and bad for both. Your info was all bad for 1 party so I think we can see who is ”cooking” the numbers.
I don’t know how old you are but I lived through the years this graph represented. I remember the inflation when it was high or low. The only terrible years I have lived through is Nixon, Ford,Carter and now Biden.

CPI is a cooked number because it's only measuring what it wants you to look at; all the years have been terrible, you just aren't looking in the right places

When Did we go from inflation to the value of a dollar? Fiat money is going to go down. The dollar is falling but inflation speeds up that process. So the presidents with the worse inflation makes the dollar even worth less faster than it would have. When I retired in 2020 I planned on 2% to 3% inflation each year. That was because that was the average rate for a long time. Biden did 10 yrs worth of damage to my retirement planning in just a couple of years.
