One thing you will learn about UPS is if you need time off and you don't have vacation coming chances are you probably won't get it. That was back in the days when they were constantly short handed. Now it appears they have people standing around twiddling their thumbs. Have I told you how tough we had it back then?

Two separate vacation list. PT pick from the PT list and FT pick from the FT list. All goes by seniority in the classification.

Very true. However it is possible. I would say it comes down to the relationship with your Mgr. If he(your Mgr)

is under attack from upper Mgt. or he(op) is a grievance jockey, it will be a long wait.

Hi if I’ll be there 10 months in March and I would like to have a week off. Should it be possible for me to get that time off if it’s unpaid?
