UPS confident about economic recovery. - Kelowna
The head of the United Parcel Service of America, Inc., is confident that the global economy is on the mend, but he cautions it could be years before we regain what was wiped out during the global economic crisis.
"I do believe we're in recovery. I think it's sustainable, but there's a lot of risk out there," Scott Davis, UPS chief executive, said in an interview in Toronto Tuesday, where he was marking the expansion of UPS's facility in nearby Vaughan, Ont.
"The concern I've got is that we lost a lot of ground in the last two years. While I think we're in a recovery, and we're going to see growth in the next couple years, the world may have lost three years or so in this crisis," he said.
