So let me ask you a question. Do you prefer this new plan over the old plan? I have to admit with the aging work force, and cutting back of hours and all line haul miles.
This is a brilliant move.
The lower the wages the more attractive this plan becomes. It is so Obamalistic. If you are just starting out with UPS or just have a few years than this plan was designed for you. Because the days of 50, 60 hours are over.
The days of 3000 mile single and over 5000 mile sleeper runs are over.
So $105.00 dollars a year will be ok at the new wage tier. Like I've said before I am on my way out and I am vested. It won't hurt me. There are a lot of drivers in my same shape. A lot of them will vote yes.
You younger drivers this is all about you. If this is what you want to settle for than as long as you go into it with your eyes wide open it's ok with me. I however, am voting no for the future of the next generation. At least I can say I tried...
